Setting team goals
When setting goals on Perform & Engage 365 as a manager, you’ll be setting them both at team and individual levels. Team goals won’t appear on an individual team member’s ‘Goals & Questions’ overview tab unless they have individual goals tied to it.
To create a team goal, go to the My Team tab and select the Goals tab, scroll down, and click ‘Add Goal’.
You'll need to make sure the scope is set to My team. These goals can then be contributed to by everybody in the team. Individuals can also set their own personal goals which align to these team goals.
Parent goals
The difference between parent and personal is that parent goals are fed into by personal/team goals. When setting up a team or personal goal, you have the choice of selecting a parent goal to align to.
When you set up a sub-goal for an individual team member, you can also select a parent goal from your list of team goals.
You can also add personal development goals. These are useful for when team members perform tasks that don’t directly have anything to do with the organisation’s objectives, such as expanding an individual’s skillset.
As you can see, unlike the other individual goals, the personal development goal does not feed into a parent goal due to it being specifically focused on that individual’s development.
